INVITE

Once you have spent time in prayer, you are now ready to start inviting. The invitation is broken into two parts:  First, there is a simple conversation and transfer of information.  Second, the formal invitation process begins.

INFORMAL INVITE

This is your first step in inviting members into your group. We recommend that you do this via an in-person meeting over coffee or by phone if an in-person meeting is prohibitive. Email can be used to answer follow-up questions and send information, but is not a good approach for the initial conversation. Sharing your testimony of what OM has meant to you and how you have grown in the Lord is a great conversation starter! Answer any questions that may arise and remember, this is about casting vision and sharing passion. People want to say yes to things they can see are meaningful and life changing for you. Remember these are people who know and trust you; when they see your excitement, they will want to share in it! Utilize the website as a tool for getting additional information to potential group members.
Below, you will be able to download and send the informal invitation to those you are inviting to your group. This will help navigate the conversation and answer any questions they may have.

OFFICIAL INVITE

After you have followed up from the initial conversation (informal invite), all positive responses should receive an official (formal) invite. The formal invite will prompt each member to create a user login on the website to create a login. This is a very important step, as it will not only connect group members to the larger OM network of events, conferences, and newsletters, it will also provide access to the sessions and resources needed for group participation. Creating an account will require each participant to agree to the OM Code of Conduct, and it is important for you as a leader to know that all group members are committed and on the same page. Once a participant creates his account, he will have access to each session. He can either print the sessions via PDF or order a copy of the printed workbook. Group members will also be prompted to purchase the books necessary to complete the sessions. This eliminates the burden of collecting and distributing these resources and allows for easy access in one online location. You will also be notified when each participant creates their user login account so that you know along the way who has and who has not taken the next step.
